Never. We are very deliberate about our food philosophy, and sugar alcohol sweeteners are not part of it: no erythritol, xylitol, maltitol or sorbitol, and no stevia, sucralose or aspartame either. Sweetness comes from organic cane sugar, tapioca syrup and fruit, with a touch of monk fruit in some flavors. Monk fruit is a fruit extract, not a sugar alcohol sweetener. Every full size bar has 5g of sugar or less.

Yes, and we hold a stricter line than the label requires. Every batch of finished product is third party tested for gluten to under 5ppm, where the Certified Gluten Free standard allows 20ppm. Most ALOHA bars contain tree nuts, usually almonds, cashews, pecans, macadamias or coconut, and several contain peanuts. Nuts earn their place as a source of plant protein and healthy fats. Bars are made in a facility that also processes fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, soy, tree nuts and wheat, with equipment cleaned and swabbed between every run.
