I spent a long time reading through bar nutrition labels while researching protein bars. My main criteria were to find bars with high protein and low sugar without fake sugar or sugar alcohols. With most bars at 5g of sugar or less, Aloha wins out by far, and the vanilla crunch is their best, at 3g. The raspberry white chocolate also 3g of sugar but I haven’t been able to try that yet. Other brands may have up to 20g of protein but that comes with either fake sugar or high real sugar, and 14g of protein is still solid. Despite the low sugar, the vanilla flavor is very good, and the crunchy texture is nice too. The bar consistency is in between the old Power Bars that you could beat up and bend and the Clif bars that crumble away to nothing, leaving a bar that can take a little bit of a beating in the bottom of your pack and still satisfy. I eat the vanilla crunch bars after most work outs, and mix in some of the oatmeal chocolate chip occasionally. I can’t wait to try the new banana bread flavor!
