Using Business as a Force For Good
As a Certified B Corp, we’re building a business that’s committed to the greater good. As an employee owned company, we went one step further and ALOHA has also become a PBC (Public Benefit Corporation). A PBC preserves a company’s mission and prioritize social good along side growth.
From taking care of our employees, to nourishing the communities around us and the relationships that help us grow, all the way through to the land that sustains us. We're intentionally building a business that's built for good. Areas we focus on include:
A Climate Neutral Business
ALOHA is Climate Neutral Certified, which refers to the emissions and mitigation of ALL greenhouse gases – not just carbon. We believe that businesses have the power to make an impact and lead change. We will begin by measuring our total emissions (scope 1, 2 and 3). Next, we’ll put plans in place to order to offset those emissions. And finally, we will identify opportunities where we are able to reduce our emissions, both internally and through our supply chain.
Plant-Based Benefits the Environment
Did you know, that plant-based diets and products inherently have positive benefits and impact on the environment?! By participating in plant-based diets, or purchasing plant-based products, we can create small change – and collectively making a greater impact. Some incredible benefits of plant-based products are that they reduce greenhouse gas emissions, reduce/stop livestock emissions, reduce energy consumption, conserve water, helps stabilize the ocean, protects rainforest and lands, and generally is better for your health.

ALOHA has a mandate and responsibility to care for the community and environment that sustains us. As stewards of ALOHA, we do not take that responsibility lightly. Through our mission and commitment to have a positive impact, we have partnered with Kupu, Hawai’i’s leading nonprofit working to foster the next generation of environmental and cultural stewards.
