The lehua variety of taro used in The Taro Bar is celebrated for its subtle sweetness and creamy texture. It pairs perfectly with buttery macadamia nuts and coconut flakes, offering a balanced, lightly sweet flavor that’s as satisfying as it is unique. With ingredients sourced from sustainable farms in Hawai‘i, 14g of plant-based protein, 10g of fiber, and just 3g of sugar, you’ll feel good about reaching for this special edition bar any time of day. 10% of proceeds are donated to land conservation programs and youth leadership development through Kupu.

We use no added heat, USDA organic expeller pressed high-oleic sunflower oil instead of other oils because it contains a rich amount of monosaturated fats (oleic acid), a low amount of polysaturated fats, and creates a delicious texture for our bars.

    The taro bar is my absolute favorite

    I love Aloha bars but the taro bar is by far my favorite flavor. The texture is perfect and the taste is delicious. If you’re unsure on the flavor just try it, you won’t regret it.

    Terrific Tropical Taste

    I am a big fan of taro in general, and this protein bar does not disappoint! I love the creamy vanilla-ish flavor with the coconut and macadamia nuts. Glad I bought two boxes!

    Good New Flavor, But Need More Taro

    I'm a huge taro fan so I couldn't wait to try Aloha's new Taro Bar, combining what I love about Aloha (high fiber, high protein, low sugar) combination. And the new bar is pretty good, there is an earthy creamy quality coming through, but it's more like a subtle sweet potato or yam, compared to the distinct taro aroma and flavors you get from eating taro directly.

    If Aloha can improve the recipe to get more taro flavor, then this would be a new instant classic. But as it is, it's good, just not great like Aloha's amazing Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip.

    Good but prefer other flavors

    This was a really nice bar but I think my favorites are still the peanut butter and almond butter ones. However, I do appreciate the flavor is subtle. And that it has 10 grams of fiber, 14 grams of protein and only 3 grams of sugar.
