Inspired by the pristine waters of the North Pacific Ocean, premium ingredients from sustainable farms around Hawai‘i make this special edition bar one to savor. The Pa‘akai Bar is studded with Hawaiian macadamia nuts, covered in rich dark chocolate, and finished with a sprinkle of Hawaiian sea salt for an indulgent sweet-and-salty bite. With 14g of plant-based protein, 10g of fiber, and only 5g of sugar, it’s as functional as it is indulgent. 10% of proceeds are donated to our non-profit partner Kupu, supporting conservation and local youth environmental learning programs in Hawai‘i.

What does The Pa'akai Bar taste like?

Rich dark chocolate, buttery macadamia nuts from Hawai'i, and a sprinkle of 100% pure Hawaiian sea salt on top for the perfect balance of sweet and savory. One of three Special Edition bars we make in small batches, with 10% of proceeds going to Kupu. 14g of plant-based protein, 10g of fiber and 5g of sugar.

What is The Pa'akai Bar made of?

The Pa'akai Bar is made with rich dark chocolate, Hawai'i-grown macadamia nuts, 100% pure Hawaiian sea salt, flaky coconut, and cashew butter. The protein is a blend of organic brown rice protein and pumpkin seed protein. Contains tree nuts (cashews, coconut and macadamias).

How much protein, fiber and sugar is in The Pa'akai Bar?

There is 14g of plant-based protein, 10g of fiber and 5g of sugar in every bar, at 240 calories. Sold as a 6-count pack. The protein is entirely plant-based, and there are no sugar alcohol sweeteners and no stevia.

Do The Pa'akai Bar contain sugar alcohol sweeteners or stevia?

Never. We are very deliberate about our food philosophy, and sugar alcohol sweeteners are not part of it: no erythritol, xylitol, maltitol or sorbitol, and no stevia, sucralose or aspartame either. Sweetness comes from organic cane sugar, tapioca syrup and fruit, with a touch of monk fruit in some flavors. Monk fruit is a fruit extract, not a sugar alcohol sweetener. Every full size bar has 5g of sugar or less.

Are The Pa'akai Bar vegan and dairy free?

Yes. Every ALOHA bar is certified vegan and made without dairy. The protein is entirely plant-based, from brown rice and pumpkin seed, and the chocolate used across the range is dairy free. The bars are also soy free and Non-GMO Project Verified.

Are The Pa'akai Bar gluten free?

Yes, and we hold a stricter line than the label requires. Every batch of finished product is third party tested for gluten to under 5ppm, where the Certified Gluten Free standard allows 20ppm. Bars are also soy free and Non-GMO Project Verified, and ALOHA is a Certified B Corporation. Certifications differ slightly by flavor, so the badges on this page are the ones that apply here.

What allergens do The Pa'akai Bar contain?

Most ALOHA bars contain tree nuts, usually almonds, cashews, pecans, macadamias or coconut, and several contain peanuts. Nuts earn their place as a source of plant protein and healthy fats. Exact allergens differ by flavor, so check the ingredient list on this page. No ALOHA bar has dairy, soy or gluten in it. Bars are made in a facility that also processes fish, milk, peanuts, sesame, soy, tree nuts and wheat, with equipment cleaned and swabbed between every run.

    Worth the premium price

    I really enjoy these flavor. The bars are sweet and savory thanks to the salt sprinkling. I also appreciate the softness since I have had some dental work. I use to have to force myself to remember to eat a protein bar. This is a nice post strength workout or even as a pick me up hours before I need to do strength.
