- Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip
- Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
These could be better
This bar is okay. Three stars for the great ingredient list. But, in my book, it vastly pales in comparison to the peanut butter chocolate chip and cookie dough flavors. I don’t feel every bar needs chocolate to taste good. In fact I very much appreciate bars that don’t have chocolate since most do, and I sometimes need an easy protein snack without it. I wish more left it out. But, these and the caramel flavor bars could be so much better. The texture and consistency of the other two listed above are a creamier, more moist consistency and have more flavor, while the vanilla and caramel are more dry and have less flavor, and what they do have seems to rely on flavor extracts. I don’t need more sweetness. All of these bars are quite sweet for me, but I feel like they need a little more seed or nut butter or something. Almond butter would be tasty and go well here. I actually was excited to see a vanilla bar years ago and tried it and the dryness and lack of flavor turned me off and I didn’t try any more Aloha bars for years, which was a mistake.
We’ve seen how delicious the other bars are. It seems like it would be totally doable to have the same consistency as the peanut butter chocolate chip bars - the consistency of those doesn’t come from chocolate chips alone, the rest of it is moist and tasty.
