Does ALOHA contain gluten, soy, or dairy?
All products ALOHA makes are tested to be gluten-free, soy-free, and dairy-free after they're made. Due to our Vegan Certification, we deep clean and swab all equipment a minimum of 3 times in between productions.
I've heard sunflower oil is bad for you?
Any ALOHA Bars that have sunflower oil only use high-oleic, expeller pressed sunflower oil. Meaning it doesn't use unhealthy solvents, and is never heated to a temperature that could cause oxidation. It also contains more monounsaturated fats (healthy fats) and fewer polyunsaturated fats (unhealthy fats) than even olive and avocado oil.
What are net carbs?
Net Carbs = Total Carbs - Fiber. Each ALOHA Plant-Based Protein Bar contains 14-17g of net carbs. The mix of complex carbs and 9-10g of fiber in all ALOHA Bars help to maintain healthy blood sugar levels.
What is the shelf-life?
Most often bars you receive directly from ALOHA will have a shelf life with a "best by" date of 4 months or more.
Will an ALOHA Bar keep me full?
ALOHA is packed with 14g of protein and 10g of fiber, helping you feel full and to curb sugar cravings.
What exactly are natural flavors?
There's a major difference between natural flavors (which can contain some not-so-good ingredients) and Certified USDA Organic and Certified Vegan Natural Flavors like what are found in ALOHA Bars. The Certified Organic natural flavors used in our products only come from things found in nature, like spices, fruits, and plants. They don't contain any artificial colors, preservatives, or any animal products.
Are ALOHA products safe for kids?
Yes! You'll notice that all ALOHA products have "Nutritional" Panels instead of "Supplement" Panels, meaning it's made from all real food ingredients. Plus ALOHA products pass the two key tests: parent-nutrition approval, and kid-taste approval. Snack on!

Why is ALOHA called ALOHA?
Our company started in Honolulu and was founded by three entrepreneurs (both kanaka and kamaʻaina) on a mission to spread the aloha spirit through good, healthy food to the world. Today, we're fortunate to have a larger group of supporters (kanaka, kamaʻaina, mainlanders, and international citizens) as owners and we became an official employee-owned B-Corp in 2020.
We collaborate with non-profits on the islands like KUPU Hawaii (https://www.kupuhawaii.org/) and partner with small farms in Hawaiʻi to source ingredients for our products.
