Frequently Asked Questions

How do ALOHA Protein Drink flavors differ?

Nutritionally they are identical: 18g of plant protein, 3g of fiber and 5g of sugar on a creamy coconut milk base. So pick by taste, or grab the Drinks Sampler Pack and let your taste buds decide.

Should I choose ALOHA Protein Drinks or Protein Powder?

Both deliver 18g of plant protein. Drinks are ready when you are; powder gives you 15 servings per canister to blend into water, oat milk, coffee or a smoothie. Reach for drinks when you are on-the-go, powder when you want to make it your own.

Which ALOHA product gives you the most protein per calorie?

Protein Powder leads at 18g in a 130-calorie serving, with Protein Drinks close behind at 18g in 170. A full-size bar brings 14g at 240, and a mini 6g at 90. Same plant protein approach across all four. The format just changes how much comes along with it.

Do ALOHA Protein Drinks need to be refrigerated?

They ship and store at room temperature, so there is no need to clear fridge space before you open one. Most people prefer them well-chilled, so pop a couple in the fridge and keep the rest in the pantry.

How do ALOHA Protein Drinks come packaged?

By the 12-count case. Pick a single flavor to keep the fridge stocked, or the Drinks Sampler Pack to get all three.

How much protein is in ALOHA Protein Drinks?

Each ALOHA protein drink has 18g of plant-based protein at 170 to 180 calories. The protein is a blend of pea and brown rice protein, with a coconut milk base. There is no whey, casein or soy protein. Full nutrition detail is on the panel on this page.

Why do ALOHA Protein Drinks use a coconut milk base?

Coconut milk gives the drinks a creamy texture without any dairy, which keeps them fully plant based. It also carries flavor far better than water does, so the drinks taste rich without leaning on sugar alcohol sweeteners or stevia to get there.

Are ALOHA Protein Drinks vegan, gluten free and USDA Organic?

Yes! Every ALOHA protein drink is Certified Vegan and USDA Organic, with no dairy or soy. On gluten we go further than the label: every batch is third party tested to under 5ppm, where Certified Gluten Free allows 20ppm. The drinks are also Non-GMO Project Verified and Fair Trade Certified, and ALOHA is a Certified B Corporation.

Do ALOHA Protein Drinks contain sugar alcohol sweeteners or stevia?

Never. We are very deliberate about our food philosophy, and sugar alcohol sweeteners are not part of it: no erythritol, xylitol, maltitol or sorbitol, and no stevia, sucralose or aspartame either. Sweetness comes from organic cane sugar and a touch of monk fruit, which is a fruit extract rather than a sugar alcohol sweetener. The nutrition panel on this page has the exact sugar count for this flavor.

What allergens do ALOHA Protein Drinks contain?

ALOHA protein drinks contain coconut. The FDA reclassified coconut in January 2025 and no longer counts it as a tree nut, though we know some people still prefer to avoid it. There is no dairy, soy or gluten in the drinks. They are made in a facility that also processes egg, milk, tree nuts and soy, with no peanuts in the building, equipment cleaned and swabbed between runs, and every batch gluten tested.
