Superfood Watermelon Smoothie Bowl

This is one way to cut down on dishes! And a fun way to enjoy this refreshing smoothie. The benefits of watermelon go far beyond its modest name. With a ton of vitamins (including A, B6, and C) and lots of lycopene, antioxidants, and amino acids, one might call it a wonder-melon instead! It is also delicious and low in fat and calories! Given its hydrating nature, it is an excellent smoothie base. Just add a little protein, and you have yourself a satisfying and healthy meal!

Ingredients

1/2 small watermelon

1 serving ALOHA Vanilla Protein

1 packet ALOHA Daily Good Greens Berry

sprig of fresh mint

1/2 cup coconut yogurt

Optional: 1 tablespoon honey or stevia for additional sweetness

Preparation

Halve your watermelon width-wise - store one half for another time. Scoop out the inside of the remaining half and place the inner flesh in a blender - add the remaining ingredients and blend until fully mixed. Pour the smoothie into the hollowed watermelon half. Garnish as desired - we used a slice of kiwi, a mint leaf, and some edible flowers.
