Shades of Blueberry Protein Smoothie

Blueberries are my favorite fruit. Whenever I visit my parents my mother stocks up on the vitamin-packed berry because she knows that will be the first thing I look for in the fridge. Part of why I love them so much is knowing how healthy they are—there is definitely a mental component to my obsession. So, to satisfy my need for the blues, I made the blueberr-iest smoothie.

Makes one large smoothie, or two to share


2 cups blueberries

1 cup coconut yogurt

1 cup coconut water

1 packet ALOHA Daily Good Greens Berry

1 serving ALOHA Vanilla Protein

1 banana - frozen is best


In a blender, combine 1/2 cup coconut water, 1 1/2 cups of the blueberries, 1/2 of the banana, and the packet of ALOHA Daily Good Berry. Blend well and pour into a glass - place the glass in your freezer so that it can harden a bit - that way the top layer won't sink in—ideally for an hour, but this will not affect the taste, just the look! Now add the remaining ingredients into your blender and blend until smooth. Remove your glass from the freezer and layer with the second mixture. Garnish as desired and enjoy!
