Avocado Detox Protein Smoothie
Before we knew better, avocado was considered to be an indulgent ingredient—a food that should be consumed in moderation. And although we believe in moderation in all things - avocado is not a food to shy away from. Healthy fats are incredible important for detoxification as they create hormones that regulate and balance your system.
Every ingredient in this smoothie is benefitial for the detoxification process. It is clearly not a sweet, fruity smoothie - however, you can always add some low-sugar fruit, such as green apple, if this taste is too "green" for you. Let us know how you adjust this detox smoothie to make it your own!
Serves 1 as a meal, or 2 as a drink
1 1/2 cups almond milk, or milk of choice
1/2 ripe avocado
1 lime, juiced
1/4 cup fresh mint
1/4 inch fresh ginger
1/2 medium cucumber
1 cup spinach
1 serving ALOHA Vanilla Protein
1 packet ALOHA Daily Good Greens Original
Optional: 1 pinch salt
Optional: If you want some extra sweetness, use 1/2 green apple
Starting with your liquids, place all ingredients in a blender and mix well. Enjoy immediately or stor in your freezer for one day.
