Amy Myers, MD is the founder and medical director of Austin UltraHealth, a functional medical practice in Austin, Texas. Dr. Myers has extensive training in Functional Medicine, Integrative Medicine, and Nutrition. She completed her residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Maryland / Shock Trauma.
Dr. Myers seeks to find the root cause of illness rather than treating only the symptoms with medications. She guides patients through a structured functional medicine process called The Myers Way and finds life-long solutions to medical conditions, revolutionizing the way her patients and those around them think about nutrition and medicine.
Prior to opening Austin UltraHealth, she worked as an ER physician at University Medical Center at Brackenridge and Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin. Additionally she was a Clinical Assistant Professor at UTMB and served on the Seton Williamson GoodHealthCommons Advisory board.
Dr. Myers works with children and adults from across the country who suffer from IBS, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, autoimmune disease, digestive disorders, hormone imbalances, and much more. Nutrition is a large part of her practice and she believes that food is medicine! Dr. Myers has published a series of eBooks, The Myers Way.
