Cocoa-Nut Balancing Bowl

Magnesium deficiency is extremely common among women—so this creation was blended with that in mind (and to royally kick PMS in the rear). As you know, magnesium is crucial to overall well-being; it helps to relax muscles, manage stress levels, and improve sleep quality. Things like coconut water, avocados, and raw cacao are rich in magnesium, which is why I blended them together for a nourishing smoothie that can be enjoyed any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup coconut water
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1 tablespoon honey, or sweetener of choice
  • 1 serving ALOHA Chocolate Protein
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons hemp seeds
  • 1 tablespoon sunflower seed butter
  • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
  • 1/2 ripe avocado
  • Optional: ALOHA Superfood Chocolate
  • Optional: Gluten-free granola

Preparation

  1. Blend all of the ingredients together.
  2. I recommend topping the smoothie bowl with gluten-free granola and/or ALOHA Superfood Chocolate for additional nourishment and crunch.
