Mint Juleps are super refreshing. However, there are traditionally very few health benefits to rationalize the indulgence—but we have a solution! We mixed this Southern specialty with the cleansing properties of ALOHA’s Clean Tea. This Mint Julep has nettle leaf, dandelion root, and raspberry fruit—detox while you retox for a guilt-free indulgence!
Makes 2 cocktails
- Bring your water to a boil. Place the bags of ALOHA Clean Tea in a large mug or small bowl. Pour the water over the bags and allow to steep for 3 minutes.
- Place the mint leaves, minus the sprigs, in a metal shaker or sturdy mug. Add the honey and muddle them together until the leaves begin to break down.
- Add the steeped tea and place in the refrigerator for at least 5 minutes, or up to one hour.
- Remove the mint tea from the refrigerator. Add the bourbon to the mixture and stir or shake. Add the crushed ice to two glasses. Pour the drink in the two glasses and garnish with the sprigs of mint. Serve immediately.
